Dealing with an “aviation incident”, frost bite, crevasse falls, a six day storm and a close encounter with a moose was all part of the adventure as Julia and her team fulfilled a lifelong ambition to split-board down Mount Bear in Alaska.

At 14,831ft (4,520m) Mount Bear one of the top 20 highest mountains in the US and with the temperature at the summit -45 degrees Celsius the team had to use all their skills and knowledge to manage the once in a life time ride down.

Julia and her team battled fierce conditions of  -45 degrees Celsius at the summit having already dealt with frost bite, crevasse falls and a six day storm. It’s no wonder Julia describes her Alaskan expedition as “An epic adventure filled drama”.
