Denise Van Outen, Fearne Cotton Alexandra Burke, Gabriella Cilmi and Amanda Byram are currently trekking through the Andes in Peru in aid of Breast Cancer Care. The celebrities have been joined by six women each of whom have been diagnosed with breast cancer, all being filmed for a documentary for ITV2.

Talking about the trip, radio DJ and TV presenter Fearne Cotton said:
“Denise and I have been planning this for ages, ever since we were in a tent on Kilimanjaro. I’m really chuffed that the girls can join us and I can’t wait to get out there and start raising money for Breast Cancer Care. One person is diagnosed with breast cancer every 11 minutes so most of us will know someone who has been affected. During the nine day trip, the women are trekking up to eight hours a day in tough conditions as they tackle the Andes mountain range in South America. Low levels of oxygen at high altitude will make breathing difficult and camping at 4,000 metres above sea level will mean sub zero temperatures at night. The trip culminates at the legendary Machu Picchu.
The famous faces have been joined by Paula Dixon (30), Jenny Steele (27), Gaynor Stinton (58). Annabel Reynaud (36), Louise Rall (37) and Lisa Rees (30). All of them have been diagnosed with breast cancer, some as recently as January this year and some up to five years ago. They are united by the desire to give something back to Breast Cancer Care which helped them all in some way during their breast cancer experience.
