Berghaus opened the doors of our first flagship store on 1st Septemeber 2007, in the Gateshead MetroCentre, Europe’s largest shopping and leisure centre. The store was the first in the UK to stock the full range of Berghaus performance outdoor clothing, footwear, rucksacks and accessories.
It was officially opened by Sir Chris Bonington and Leo Houlding who abseiled from the 1st floor of the Red Mall.
