Profile
Anna Gatta
Female Adventurer
Swedish born Anna now lives in France with her husband, Berghaus athlete Philippe Gatta. Both Anna and Philippe share a great
passion for adventure
and they regularly spend weekends, and any other spare time,
trail running
or
climbing
for enjoyment and in preparation for their next adventure.
Anna has climbed extensively, particularly in France, as well as running/hiking the
Annapurna circuit
(280km in 13 days) and accompanying her husband to base camp during his recent Kanchenjunga expedition. Most recently Anna competed in the 2012 Atacama desert Rac, a 250-kilometer rough-country foot race, where she came first for her age group.
Not only is Anna an
experienced athlete
but she also runs a successful graphic design company, and even when she is working leaves the office to go running whenever she gets the chance.
So what’s next for Anna?
Anna would like to progress in sport climbing and potentially climb somewhere new and exciting, such as Thailand.
Anna’s ultimate long term goal is to return to
Kilimanjaro,
where she and Philippe spent their honeymoon, to celebrate their 10 year anniversary.
We are really proud to have such an inspiring female athlete join our athlete team.
