Are these boots good enough for walking and tracking

The boots look good and are very waterproof. I've walked through large puddles in these and they keep your feet very dry. I purchased these for walking my dog across the fields and through the woods and they are comfortable. Seem to breath very well with their Goretex technical abilities with no wet socks to date. The laces can be a little tricky fastening up but overall this is not too much of any issue for me. I would have liked to have seen a higher layer of boot above the tongue as it seems slightly odd that the tongue has gaps down each side which could allow water ingress if I waded through a small stream/brook or similar. I would also recommend wearing these in as they did cause some discomfort when I first started wearing them, but they now appear to be comfortable with no irritation, pressure or rubbing encountered after about half a dozen outings. These should also make good hiking/trecking boots if you participate in these activities.

Great boots

These were bought as a replacement for a similar pair and after a few walks they are light, comfortable and should be waterproof too. Only minor niggle are the flat laces but this is easily remedied. Berghaus service was excellent.

Explorer Trec Gore Tex. NOT BLUE.

These boots are verý comfortable from the first wearing without having to break them in. They are waterproof todate. The only issue is distribution - the order was blue and grey arrived. However i have gone with the grey to save returning them.

Wearable straight out of the box.

Ive been buying these boots for years simply because they're constantly dependable. The revamped model has a few changes Im not exactly sure of. Firstly the most noticeable is that the ankle doesn't come as far round as it used too, maybe this one change once I wear them in more but straight from the box I can feel there's much more of gap no matter how tight you tie them. Will this affect the ankle support given? Time will tell. Secondly the tongue doesn't seem to be joined at the sides quite as high as it used to be taking away that bit more protection from water and dirt getting in. Shouldn't be a problem if you wear gaiters but every little helps on the hill. The third thing I notice is there's no tongue at the back to help pull them on and hold your trousers up off the ground. I know there's probably not many of us it but Im one that does. In all they still seem to be a solid very comfortable shoe straight of the box. Only time will tell if they're still as robust.

Explorer Trek Boots

Second pair of this boot in 8 years. Comfortable straight away, need a little breaking-in, but nothing excessive. Not been out in the wet yet, but my previous boots performed very well, lets hope these do, too. Not keen on the flat laces, minor issue though. Ordered half size above to cater for thick socks. Arrived quickly after ordering.

Excellent boots

I haven’t had these long but I’m quite impressed. They’re very comfortable and easy to wear for long periods of time, and that was straight out of the box. The grip is excellent, they give you a lot of confidence on rough or slippery terrain. The water proofing is pretty good too, although it’s only going to protect to a certain level. With the size, I usually take between 10-11. They only had 11.5 in stock so I took a risk on it. It fits well, there’s enough space for thick socks and without feeling too big. Overall I’m very pleased.
