The Men's MTN Arete LB Synthetic Hoody is lightweight, breathable, synthetically insulated and extremely packable. Its reversible nature means you can wear a windproof outer to keep chilly breezes at bay, or wear that fabric next to your baselayer and have a more permeable outer that enhances breathability when you’re working hard. Versatile warmth without bulk, or unnecessary weight. The repair is free. We’ll ask you to pick up the cost of sending your gear into us, but the fix-up is on the house. Great news for your wallet and the outdoors.

Excellent but how package it ?
I am very happy to find the equivalent of my Vapourlight Hyperterm that I have worn for 10 years on alpine climbs in smock version, I so regretted not having bought the jacket version, easier to put on. It really is a perfect ultra-light safety tool that gives you warmth and protection from the wind. The cut is very good with the arms very free, the red color is very visible, which may be necessary in the mountains. Bravo for the new sleeve elastics which are perfect. On the other hand, I'm disappointed : nothing is planned for compression: pocket without reversible zip, no compression bag like the vapourlight to attach to the harness ?!

Light, warm and versatile
I'm surprised there hasn't been more noise about this jacket: it's well-cut, insanely light, packs up tiny, is extremely warm for its weight (I'd say about as warm as my Atom LT but half the weight) and has the option of a windproof or a (somewhat more) breathable side. Fantastic bit of kit.

Arete reversible
Very, very lightweight. Very warm when it's needed. Used a couple of times now to minus 3, copes well.
