Faultess in the Arctic Circle
Purchased this jacket before I travelled to Northern Norway over the winter period early this year for 3 months and it performed without fault. I have the black variant and would recommend it to family and friends, one of which has subsequently purchased one since.

Very warm jacket
Love this jacket, I have used this predominately around base camp and it has been very warm, I keep it in my pack as an emergency jacket in winter conditions and I find that for this it is a bit too bulky. The pockets are great, and the down is very good. I walked to the climbing centre in 1.3 degrees in this jacket and I was roasting by the time I got there!

See the blackness through jacket
You can see the feathers through it, especially when wet! Makes the jacket look dirty. Returned for this reason. Disappointing.Â

Avoid-Jacket looks dirty
The outer layer of the jacket is very see through so you can see the down from the outside. Because of this, it makes the jacket look like it been thrown in mud! You can see it in the pictures if you look for it, but it’s 10x worse in person! The black colour may be better but I certainly wouldn’t risk itÂ

The MTN arete jacket
Lovely and aesthetically pleasing. A lot of room on the upper chest area  allowing sufficient mobility. Verry warm and efficient jacket leaving you feeling satisfied and content when you take it off. I haven’t wore it in the rain yet as I have only just got the jacket today. So will need to test how it works when it rains. Overall I am really happy with the purchase and looking forward to my £5 bonus credit. Thanks again Berghaus !! 😊Â
