The repair is free. We’ll ask you to pick up the cost of sending your gear into us, but the fix-up is on the house. Great news for your wallet and the outdoors.

Quality has really gone downhill
I've been a loyal Berghaus customer since the 1970s, when they were based at the LD Mountain Centre on Grey Street, Newcastle. I've had loads of fleeces and multiple waterproof jackets. One of my most recent purchases was a black fleece jacket, of the type I wear almost all winter. I already have a blue and a red one, which I bought in 2014 and which are still in great condition. However the new black one is made of far inferior material. The fleece has already flattened and gone a bit shiny on the elbows and I can even see the shape of my mobile phone embedded where it normally sits in a pocket. This feels like the kind of thing a Private Equity firm would do to a successful brand. Buy the company, exploit brand loyalty, trash the product quality, bump up the profits, flog the business at a massive profit, then leave the tattered brand flapping in the wind. What is Berghaus up to?

Quality fleece
Bought this for a present for my husband  who is very happy with it. Good length for tall man, slightly longer at back. Arms are a good length. Great quality fleece. He has had one for years which he is still wearing.Â
