The repair is free. We’ll ask you to pick up the cost of sending your gear into us, but the fix-up is on the house. Great news for your wallet and the outdoors.

Super jacket
I came to this jacket after trying on lots of the jackets recommended by magazines and online, finding problems from all of them - pockets in wrong places, or lack of them, huge hoods, no underarm vents etc. This one fits the bill for hillwalking . Be aware it is a rusty red rather than scarlet which the photos show. Only one I found close in quality was from Rab but I did not like the colour ( always think you need a bright colour if you get into trouble on a mount side).

Pockets are useless, hood is bearable.
I bought this jacket in the hope that I could get a decent, high end, waterproof jacket with a hood that’s wearable without a helmet, something that is virtually impossible to find amongst most  brands, I don’t understand why manufacturers seem to think everyone wears a helmet! I know many hill walkers in the UK and abroad, not one wears a helmet and all have the same complaints as I do. The hood on this jacket is just acceptable, however the two waist pockets are absolutely useless, there’s no depth to them at all, you can barely get your hands in and on my first outing I lost a glove due to there only being about a centimetre of depth below zip level, I’ve owned many jackets and these are by far the worst. On the positive side, it’s very waterproof, well made and the colour (red) is a lovely ‘rusty’ shade.  The fit is just as described, ideally I’d personally prefer it to be an inch or two longer but I was fully aware of the length beforehand so that’s just not a criticism. I seriously thought about sending this back because of the pockets, however I’m keeping it because I’ve given up trying to find the perfect jacket.Â
