An absolute workhorse jacket that will take whatver you throw at it.
I have had this jacket for nearly 5 years and used it for rock climbing, skiing, hiking in the Alps, the Dolomites and all over the British Isles. The point being, it's been exposed to pretty much anything you could throw at it. It claims to be abrasion resistant, and has definitely held up very well in this regard. The large hood comfortably accommodates a climbing helmet, and pockets are positioned to accommodate a harness. All in all, I couldn't be happier with this coat. Save for the odd re-waterproofing (which you'll need to do for any Gore-Tex jacket that's used regularly), this jacket has really just been outstanding. I just wish Berghaus still made it...

Good fit and style. ...
Good fit and style. Incredibly disappointed that there wasnÂ’t a way of rolling the hood up and storing it when not in use. Previous Berghaus jackets have had his, even a simple Velcro tab like I had on my previous Berghaus jacket would suffice.

Very waterproof!! Been out in driving rain twice most recently for an hour and a half- bone dry when I got home. It is expensive but I guess this reflects the quality. Sleeves a bit long.
