Purchased boots and took them straight to The Lakes for two days of hiking.  I sized up by one size and this was perfect. Lots of grip and stability underfoot which I needed to scramble up  Red Pike! Solid enough to support me and cushioned enough to be comfortable!

Excellent design comfortable waterproof . Use daily walking dogs  in rough terrain . Quick delivery .  Previously used Bertha is free repair service for coats fantastic life long service . High quality gear that is durable and great value . I have a berghaus coat from the 1980 s - it lasts ! 

Comfortable stylish boots that clean readily. Some wet and muddy weather has fully tested the waterproofness of the boots, feet have remained dry!

I’m delighted with my Expediter Ridge boots. I have previously had Expediter Trek which were great boots but these are even better because they are so easy to clean. The great British weather has been giving me the opportunity to fully test the waterproofing and I’m happy to confirm my feet have been 100% dry throughout. The soles have great grip and I have felt very safe walking on various different surfaces. I read a lot of reviews saying they are very narrow but I’m a standard D fitting and they are perfect for me with room in the toe box. I also have replaced the insoles with my own orthotics as I have a Morton’s neuroma. I guess they may be too narrow for someone with very wide feet but should be fine for most people. They have been comfortable from day one with no need to wear them in. All of this together with the excellent customer service provided by Berghaus mean I am a very happy customer!

Great grip in mud, snow and ice. The fit is like an everyday shoe so no room for thick walking socks and these aren't needed as the boots keep my feet warm and dry. I have a high arch so a bit more support under it would be an improvement for me. Feels like a hybrid between a heavy leather walking boot and a lighter weight fabric walking shoe. Serving me well this winter, no experience yet of overall comfort on a hot summer day.
