Weighing in at only 565g the Explorer feels extremely light, comfy and responsive in use – far more so than its sturdy looks would have you expect. The mixed suede/mesh uppers have a Gore-tex XCR lining to keep your feet warm and dry and the simple design of the boot is both effective and good looking. Well cushioned footbeds come with pretty tough soles that will take a lot of wear – despite this they still offer more than adequate grip and flex, adding to the all-round comfort of the Explorer. Indeed, this is a very good option for all-round non-technical summer use or even low level year-round walking and at a very reasonable price too.
