I get roped into some really interesting events – the last week or so has been great.
Andy Rubin, Chief Executive of Pentland very kindly invited me to join a walk up Roseberry Topping on the North York Moors with all the Managing Directors of Pentland Brands, of whom of course, Berghaus is one and who hosted the event. After a day of meetings this was a bit of welcome exercise in a truly beautiful setting.

I had a great day out with Outward Bound yesterday. It was a Trustees Meeting at Eskdale Outward Bound School and at the end of it I led a walk by Blea Tarn with fellow trustee Peter Neumark, fellow Outward Bound colleagues and some great apprentices from Airbus.
At the end of the meeting I led a fell walk with trustees, guests and Airbus apprentices who had attended an Outward Bound course. We sponsor Outward Bound supplying their instructors with our outdoor gear.
Last Sunday I was asked to speak at The Squirrel Fest at the Lake District National Park Centre on the shores of Windermere. This was to raise awareness of the work of the Northern Red Squirrel Group to help protect the threatened red squirrels which are being engulfed by the spread of grey squirrels. There are still pockets of red squirrels in the Northern Lakes and indeed we have some in our garden.
