Each month the Berghaus Adventure Challenge gives one lucky expedition £1000 cash and £1000 Berghaus gear to help make their adventurous dreams a reality.
Justin and Tet were our first Adventure Challenge winners after they received the most public votes from three shortlisted entries. Their epic challenge was to cross Costa Rica from the Pacific Coast to the Caribbean, via Cerro Chirripo, the highest peak (3819m) over a three week period. They planned to start at Dominical and finish just North of Puerto Limon, having kayaked and rafted the Pacuare from its higher section.
As they embarked on their adventure Justin and Tet kept us updated along the way with blogs sent from Justin’s blackberry where he had a reception – it’s an amazing and inspirational read!
