What a great week of variety it was the other week. Wednesday at a tax seminar, Thursday at the inaugural Berghaus athlete camp, Friday skiing with Sir Chris and Eric the ‘mad frog’ (that’s his description not mine!), Friday evening representing the Alpine Club at the AGM of the Groupe de Haute Montagne and Saturday icefall climbing in Cogne.
Staying at a Chamonix hotel (a first for me!) followed by the incomparable hospitality of ‘mad frog’ Vola was a real challenge for both waistline and liver. Never before have I been persuaded to have cognac in my English breakfast tea. (Thanks Eric!)
If only every week was packed with such variety.
And I can but hope I am as enthusiastic and able Sir Chris when I get to 76.
