Greenland Climb 2011

‘Greenland Climb 2011’ won January’s leg of the Berghaus Adventure Challenge. The team of three, consisting of Josh Glanvill, John Briggs and Graeme Glover, will begin their adventure by travelling to Greenland where they will walk to the Fox Jaw Cirque area to climb a new route on an unclimbed 650m rock spire. The team intend to climb this in the purest style possible with minimal impact on the geology and ecology.

Graeme Glover comments;

“Initially, we were taken by surprise at getting short listed.  We kicked into campaign mode and with the great support of friends, family and fellow climbers we came out on top. We are so pleased and humbled at the level of support and can’t thank everyone enough.  Winning this has given us a great foundation which we are building steadily upon, now we are deep in the final planning stages.  Many thanks again to all who helped us by voting and to Berghaus for short listing us!”

  1. Guys,
    Thanks for your help down at Bosigran today, really did appreciated it. Unfortunately my ankle is bust and will need surgery to fix it once swelling has gone down.
    Good luck with your Greenland adventure and if there’s anything we could do to help in anyway, it would be a pleasure to.
    Thanks once again,
    Andy and Helen.

    Andy Parsons
