Women’s Dru Jacket review – Trek and Mountain Best in Test

A reassuringly tough, yet lightweight jacket made from Gore-Tex Paclite with stretch Gore-Tex Paclite panels. Definitely the most breathable women’s jacket in this test, with two-way pit zips for extra ventilation. It proved itself to be a great mountaineering jacket that’s  tough enough to cope with extreme conditions, though this makes it heavier than some.

It’s got a fantastic hood which really envelopes your face, and the wired peak did a great job of keeping rain off my face. Has useful easily-accessed chest pockets, a fleece guard under the chin, and Velcro adjustable cuffs.

Verdict: A hardcore mountaineering jacket that’s lightweight too.
Score: 9/10 (Best in Test)
