Strong, streamlined construction combines together a surprisingly soft oiled suede shell with a GORE-TEX lining for durability with dependable waterproofing and breathability, and memory foam at the heel and tongue for outstanding, custom-fitting comfort. The OrthoLite® footbeds give a great, cushioned fit, while our patented OPTI-STUD® outsole construction provides exceptional grip on uneven terrain.

Sturdy, but lightweight
Big fan of Berghaus boots, on my 3rd pair. Opted for the black ones this time. Good for walking in, lightweight and appear to be well made. Not sure if 100% waterproof but time will tell. A good broad fit, as I have hobbit feet.

Comfy and Robust
This review is for boots I have, so far, only walked eight miles or so in. I wore these boots for the first time with the worry it would take ages to break them in and I would be walking funny from scrapes and pains. But no, from the first walk it has been like wearing comfy slippers. Amazingly comfy. They seem to grip well too. They have been fully waterproof so far.Â

Hillwalker GTX
Fantastic walking boots that are very comfortable from the moment you put them on your feet. They are sturdy and supportive around the ankle and the grip is very reassuring when you are hiking  up the steepest of inclines. Altogether a most highly recommended  boot.

Best boots I've owned.
I bought these about 3 months ago as a pair of boots to walk the 3 miles and back to work on days when weather was rotten. I've worn them on average 2/ 3 times a week since then and I gotta say I'm impressed. The comfiest boots I own and took everything storms Agnet, Babet and Ciarà n could throw at them. Even when I was soaked through, my feet were warm and dry

Comfort
These are my second pair. I still wear my first pair regularly after nearly 10 yrs. These boots are like wearing slippers from the beginning. No need to break in. Without a doubt the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. If my new boots serve me as well as my old one's I'll be very happy.
