Introducing the Farren Legging with ZonalAdapt™ Technology

4 in 5 women say their clothing doesn’t move the way they do*. It was about time we changed that.
Enter the Farren legging with ZonalAdapt Technology. The responsive legging is specifically engineered to adapt to the ways women’s bodies change with swelling, back pain and bloating.

Born out of MtnHaus, Berghaus’ new innovation space,  devoted to reengineering the frontier of outdoor gear.

Designed by over 100 women

ZonalAdapt legwear technology is the result of over two years of conversation, collaboration and field testing with the MtnHaus Test Squad.  From hikers, dancers, to desk workers, MtnHaus worked with over 100 women throughout the UK who put each iteration of our designs to the test up mountains, on the race track, in gyms, and outdoor festivals.  Every feature reflects their lived experience, not just in terms of performance but how they wanted to feel in it.

“The sheer number of hours The MtnHaus Test Squad spent in these communities was truly incredible. For many of the women involved, it felt like the first time their bodies’ needs had truly been listened to.”

- Fiona Orrell, Director, Love Her Wild

Engineered for The Zone

In partnership with Newcastle University and anatomist Dr Yasmin Carter, our research revealed The Zone. From mid-torso to upper thigh, The Zone is where discomfort hits hardest for women as they move and the centrepiece for ZonalAdapt technological innovation.

“I've never seen anyone do that before — come back to the very foundation and say, ‘what if everything we thought was wrong, and how do we get back to listening to the people who are actually living in these bodies?’

—Dr Yasmin Carter, Associate Professor at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and MtnHaus Advisor
