This is a nice quality jacket. I am usually size 12 or 14. I purchased the 16. It is ample on the bust but doesn't give a lot of wiggle room on the hips though is comfortable with a fleece pullover. The zip fleece is a bit of a snug but the arms are a decent length. I will probably wrar them separately. I think Berghaus are manufacturing these jackets in Asia where people tend to be a more petite build. The women's jacket is unusual in that it does up in the man's style left to right rather than right to left. The style is straight and would better suit the shape of a man. I think Berghaus are forgetting that a larger proportion of British women have curvy hips!

I made this purchase as a gift to my partner. She thinks it's fantastic; exceptionally warm and cosy. I originally ordered a size too small for my partner. Bergaus took it back; no quibble. I went on to buy the more suitable size whilst Bergaus refunded me for my previous purchase.
