Amazing bit of kit
I've relied on these for over 30 years and have never had an issue. Yes they are a pain to fit correctly and you do need some stiffer boots, B2 type. If not they will come off as the boot flexes. I personally have some scarpa Sl actives which I fit them to and are faultless. Living very near dartmoor, which can be very wet in places I've never had wet feet even after wading through rivers and bogs. Only real criticism is they are never in stock in my size anywhere. Berghaus please make more of them!!!!

Yes, they can be difficult to fit on boots but good technique and a wooden kitchen spoon can go some way to facilitating that. Because they are so effective I have now purchased three pairs in various incarnations over the years - all have proved durable - and will do again when these eventually give out.. Like all goretex products condensation can be a problem in certain conditions but that's still better than soggy boots in a Scottish climate.

Really tight fit (watertight) when finally on. Useful in peat bogs and muddy paths. Not easy to fit (used cutlery handles) was similar to fitting a bicycle tyre.
