Dangerous in wet conditions. Don't compare to Brasher (RIP)

Poor replacement for our old Brashers and currently looking to dump them and researching for alternatives. Although comfortable and waterproof, our main gripes are with the soles where both my wife and I became fearful on steep descents in damp (not raining) conditions in the Lake District. Also, the insole is very cheap - fortunately we swapped them for the 6 year old ones from our Brashers.

Good boots

Light and comfortable but pretty sturdy. Love the tongue and ankle padding. No issues with the waterproofing, but I do niqwax regular. Only criticism is I find the soles a bit slippy in the wet.

Comfy

Great so far and surprisingly comfortable straight out of the box. I find them a little bit snug with thick socks on but I do have wide hobbit feet tbh. So far so good though and I would recommend them

Great Boots but beware Slippery Vibram Soles

The boots are made of beautiful soft leather, however badly let down by Vibram soles which are so slippery on wet rocks I daren't wear them on the Wales Coast Path as a slip in the wrong place could be catastrophic. Its such a shame about the soles which aren't safe for day to day footwear let alone walking boots.

Think before you buy

Paid £150 for a pair of supalite boots.Very comfortable however soles have worn out after 12 months.Probably done 1000 miles on mixed surfaces ,one third on hard surfaces.£75 minimum to resole boots.Other boots half the price have lasted me three times longer.

These boots are ligh...

These boots are light, and despite being light still feel totally sturdy and give me confidence to move quicker on lumpy/muddy terrain. They look great too; so well done Breghaus. Broke in quite quickly; after about 4-5 miles, and Gortex works at it should.. Nothing.
