Like other have mentioned, good (map) size pockets with two on the left.  not sure why this was thought better than one on each side, but there you go.  I deliberately got the next size up (large) and a really good fit, especially with a jumper/fleece/mid-layer.  However, this is where the good points end.  Breathability is a big issue and any moderate exercise creates a significant internal condensation issue.  This is then, worsened, by the relatively poor water-proofing features.  During a 45 minute dog walk (February '24) , with light-moderate rain, the waterproofing failed at about 30 minutes - so not really any good for long walks in Wales/Scotland; this is despite very recently, washing and retreating the coat (alone in the machine).   Have previously had great, high-quality, waterproof coats from Berghaus but now seriously reconsidering my options.  

No internal zip for a fleece. Otherwise similar to one I have owned for years. Such a shame to spoil it.

Good pockets Make it breathable. Add underarm ventsThis coat is too heavy, and is not breathable even though it is described as such. If a coat says breathable I expect to go hill walking in it and not end up drenched through condensation.
