I have been buying these boots - or variations on the style and design for some ten years now. For the price, I find them practical and very comfortable. I do regular three to five mile walks every morning, and I tend also to wear them as regular walking shoes throughout the winter and early spring. Overall, despite my comments under "Improvement Points", I find these boots to be very good value indeed.. Granted, I'm not brilliant at doing regular upkeep, but I do find that after about two or three years of regular wear as detailed under the good points, the uppers start to disintegrate. It's a slow process, and I generally get another year or two out of them, but they tend no longer to be truly waterproof. At the price, I find it simplest to buy a new pair every two or three years and use the older pair when it's dry, and the newer pair when it's wet.
