After purchase I emailed to request how to care for the boots, as I didn't receive info in the box. A reply came to me directing me to a page stating to reproof using conditioning cream. Upon using this, the leather darkened, and has not returned to it's lovely matt colour. Not a major issue for me, as I'd rather have a repellent outer, but if I'd have been aesthetically inclined I'd have been rather upset. Having said this, the boots have been comfy and sturdy out of the box. One minor complaint is the use of vibram sole, which anyone knows is the greasiest sole for Northern wet cobbles or sandstone, and caution has to be taken or you'll end up on ones derriere!

Purchased these boots on sale for £119 after cheaper pair of hill walking boots i had hurt my feet and were not waterproof atall. These boots are 100% waterproof! I have been in downpours for hours walked threw small streams long wet grass and feet stayed totally dry, these boots are also so comfortable on the feet with the extra padding and orthopedic sole. Im usually a size 9 but had to get these in a 9.5

These boots deliver quality & style and I expect from previous acquisitions longevity & long term quality.  The price ensured excellent value and I look forward to at least 2 years at 1,000 miles per year, but probably more👍

As one would expect a great product out of the box. After wearing these for a few short walls, circa 2-3 miles, I then did a 22 mile walk one weekend and did not suffer any discomfort at all. Great inner linings and support. The outer is also hard wearing with the toe cap and water resistance seems good, winter walking will be the true test.

Bought these for my son's Duke of Edinburgh expedition. Due to a problem with a different manufacturer we had to get these boots at the last minute just two days before the trek. There was no time to wear them in but this was not a problem as they were comfortable straight out of the box. Perfect true to size fit. Well made and amazingly after 40 km not a single blister and no rubbing. My son reported back that they were the most comfortable boot with good traction. We were so impressed we immediately recommended them to a friend who also needed boots for a similar trek. Highly recommend this boot and Berghaus who dispatched the boots really quickly when they were needed in a hurry - arrived the next day.
