Superbly comfortable from the moment of first putting them on. After many (many!) years of hillwalking these remain far and away my favourite boot. Well made, sturdy, robust - generally excellent. Can't think of any improvements to make. Thank you.

The boots are comfortable and still waterproof after 3 years (though I've not worn them a huge amount as I mostly wear hiking shoes), but the leather is poor quality and a top layer of the leather is peeling off around the top of the toe cap, especially on the left boot. It looks like caused by scuffing but it has never happened to other boots I've had, and has not happened to the walking shoes which I've been wearing more often and for longer.

Fantastic boots, I own le chameu boots and these berghaus are far better made, far comfier and look good too

Bought these to replace the hillwalker boots that I've used for the last couple of years. They gave sterling service and those were bought to replace a pair of brasher hillmaster that I bought over 20 years ago. They were the best, most comfortable boots I've ever owned. These new boots definitely fit narrower & the quality doesn't feel as good. I bought these online so wasn't aware of the fit change. I'm sure with some wear they will become a better fit and hopefully they will give a good few years of wear. If you have worn the Brasher version of this boot be aware of the changes. Time will tell if the changes are for the better.

As always, comfortable and good support all round, straight out of the box. The toe cap protection has also been improved. A dependable pair of boots for hill walking. Cracking of the leather where it creases within a few times of using, despite good use of the recommended Granger’s leather conditioner. This has only been a significant problem since the last and current pair of these boots.I’ve found Berghaus products have offered me good quality at reasonable prices for years. I rate them first amongst many outdoor gear suppliers.
