Packs down to the size of a large apple, waterproof, looks great, pockets are deep, hood grabs the right places on the head and keeps rain and wind out. But it has a surprisingly good cut, meaning it's really effective as a plain windbreaker - so for example when hiking high hills or mountains, you keep the (cold) wind out without overheating. This thing has been on business trips, boats, mountains (summer and in snow). Any time I have any doubt about inclement weather, it's with me - because it packs down so small. Which also makes it a great travel item.
