Excellent high spec jacket, very robust, good fit, fully waterproof. Range of pockets is very helpful for storing things on your person. Price to be expected for a jacket of this spec, and will definitely last a while due to its durability.

From the Glacier line to Mera Peak, I was longing for an Berghaus pro jacket for my winter expeditions. As Berghaus is not easily available in Norway I managed to pick one up in the Lake District last Christmas. I used the jacket for 10 days crossing some rough areas in Norway on a winter expedition in blizzards and heavy wind. (Skarvheimen across with Pulk and Tent). The jacket fulfilled almost all my expectations. (The pants are still on my Wishlist, may they arrive in shop soon :))

This is a very expensive jacket but it has every feature that you could possibly want. It has fully harness and hip belt compatible pockets that a very accommodating. They will fit a folded A4 map, an adventure A-Z but not quite a full OS map. The Inside pockets are fantastic and the insulated pocket does work quite well for saving your phone battery. The pit zips are massive so you can easily dump excess heat and there is very little hem lift so it is a great technical jacket. Do expect to pay a lot for this but it is the sort of jacket that you will own for a very long time.

A very technical and well made jacket. The quality is excellent and has been technically designed with good design features, this jacket has all the features that are needed, deep pockets, lots of them, great zips, large hood and draw cords on hood and hem. The material is thicker that the normal Goretex, its not the cheapest on the market but in life you get what you pay for, colour is great for visibility in extreme conditions. The Repairhaus is a great service if any repair work is required.
