Waterproof, use of q...
5Waterproof, use of quality zips, inner pocket, quality inner jacket, very warm, decent hood and fit, deep pockets will hold a folded OS map.. Poppers holding inner to outer at cuff not strong enough have to ease cuffs off, if you just pull your arm out it pulls the popper apart. Tie on inner rear of neck loop on show when just wearing inner.

The breathable mater...
4The breathable material of the outer coat and the colour. Warm and waterproof. The map pocket is very secure for not only maps but your wallet etc and secure.. I previously had a similar coat with a detachable inner wooden fleece that was secured inside with a zip and tabs holding the sleeves in place at the cuffs. This model has a “puffer” type inner coat but the sleeves are not secured at the cuffs so can annoyingly turn inside out when removing the coat. The old coat had larger pockets that sat in line with the coat, the pockets of this coat are slanting and sit in front of your belly and well full of gloves, glasses, keys, phone etc do not sit as comfortably as the old coat. When zipped up it seems tighter than the previous coat and it’s the same size and my weight has not changed. Overall it is not an improvement on the old model which is disappointing.

5. The hood cannot be easily folded away - and there are no instructions as to how to do so.

5I work as a builder which requires me being at the mercy of the elements most days. This jacket makes me feel safe and protected and keeps me incredibly dry and warm, I was surprised at just how good it is!. None! Like I said above, it does everything it says on the tin!
