Poor
2I used to have a pair of the predecessors of these boots - made by Brasher. When Berghaus acquired Brasher these boots went downhill immediately. The Brasher Supalite was a legendary boot, along with the Fellmaster. Mine lasted me 10 years and even now they still don’t let water in.  Conversely, my Berghaus Supalites are less than 2 years old and they’re already leaking. I can’t see why Berghaus would need to change anything about the boots - they were perfect. I think this is a classic case of a product that has obsolescence designed in, and sadly it’s one of the reasons why brands like Berghaus survive when great brands like Brasher don’t…! That needs to change, for the sake of the planet not to mention our wallets.Â
Report this reviewExcellent, hiking shoes
5This is my second pair of these hiking boots. They are exceptionally comfortable, with a good grip. The height of the ankle support, make them great in the wet weather in keeping my feet dry during walks and hikes.Â
Report this reviewEven my dog likes these boots
5Boots arrived, worn around the house for a few hours to test them out, then out on to our first meander, uphill and down dale we went, across muddy fields and even dipped a toe in the stream before heading home, Got home and after a warming hot drink time to clean the mud, leaves and grass off the boots, with the boots nice and clean they were left on a towel in the hall to dry off and air. A while later wondering why the dog was so quiet I wandered into the hall to find a chunk of the tongue on the floor and the dog looking very pleased with himself with my left boot in his mouth. The tongue is now held together with Duck Tape, not sure how long it will last, wonder if Berghaus can repair them. Oh yes, boots are very comfortable, hopefully they will last a good few years (unless the dog eats them!!).
Report this reviewFantastic boots - top quality, top comfort, low price
5Got these on a half price offer and absolutley delighted with them. Been on two long hikes so far. No blisters, total comfort and, of course, dry feet!
Report this reviewDangerous in wet conditions. Don't compare to Brasher (RIP)
2Poor replacement for our old Brashers and currently looking to dump them and researching for alternatives. Although comfortable and waterproof, our main gripes are with the soles where both my wife and I became fearful on steep descents in damp (not raining) conditions in the Lake District. Also, the insole is very cheap - fortunately we swapped them for the 6 year old ones from our Brashers.
Report this reviewGood boots
4Light and comfortable but pretty sturdy. Love the tongue and ankle padding. No issues with the waterproofing, but I do niqwax regular. Only criticism is I find the soles a bit slippy in the wet.
Report this reviewComfy
4Great so far and surprisingly comfortable straight out of the box. I find them a little bit snug with thick socks on but I do have wide hobbit feet tbh. So far so good though and I would recommend them
Report this reviewGreat Boots but beware Slippery Vibram Soles
2The boots are made of beautiful soft leather, however badly let down by Vibram soles which are so slippery on wet rocks I daren't wear them on the Wales Coast Path as a slip in the wrong place could be catastrophic. Its such a shame about the soles which aren't safe for day to day footwear let alone walking boots.
