Being a long term user of Berghaus (boots, trousers, fleeces, coats) I believed what the web site said. I have a size 8 Berghaus boot so I ordered the L/XL R as instructed by the sizing information. They were huge; the Velcro is narrow so could not take up the slack and the adjustment for the under boot strap had to be off the end of the Velcro to fit. This left a lot of extra material loose around the calf. ( and I have a heavy calf from years of mountaineering and cycling) I had them replaced with S/M R, which says to fit shoe size 5-7, and they are perfect. To end on a positive, the quality is great and I suspect worth the money! Water and mud just slip right off.

Bought as a second pair as already have a set.  Great fit and does the job.
