5Jacket was exactly as I expected it to be great in heavy rain while out hill walking. I also bought walking boots recently and the like the jacket are high quality.Â

Hillwalker jacket
5Fantastic jacket, with all the usual refinements expected of this great brand. Bought to replace an old jacket, now still used in the garden, the new coat is an ideal fit and comfortable and stylish for going out in. Very pleased.Â

Not ‘totally waterproof’
2Bought this before a trip to Iceland to replace my cheaper and worn out waterproof I usually use for hiking, I spent more than I usually would hoping the brand would correlate to better quality waterproofing knowing I’d be needing it. Great quality feel and comfortable, however I was surprised to find after about 30 mins walking in moderate rain water soaked through all my layers. Really glad I was just on a day hike not a multi day one! Maybe ok for a city jacket, but wouldn’t recommend as proper outdoor wear at all, very disappointing given the price!Â

Disappointed
1Bought this jacket for hillwalking in Scotland, was disappointed to find that I was soaked through after one heavy shower of rain. Not waterproof at all! I expected more from Berghaus

2The hood is good. This jacket is no good in the winter unless you buy the fleece. Not overly impressed and it was a lot of money

Nice walking jacket,...
5Nice walking jacket, comfortable & 100% waterproof. Would recommend.. Quite small sizes im a size 10 34 chest. Bought size 12 for layering & comfort. 10 would of be definitely been too small. So go a size up.

Looks good, nice and...
5Looks good, nice and waterproof and warm. Nice to be able to zip in fleeces when it's a bit cooler.. Sizing is odd. Even after following the size guide I had to size down twice! I'd say stick to your normal sizing rather than following the guide. It's a little tight on the bust, but difficult to cater for all I guess!
