The tread on these boots have worn very quickly, making them pretty useless, as you get no grip, and slip and slide all over the place. I will never buy berghaus boots again as these are the 2nd pair of boots (the others being hillwalker II goretex) that have failed in a short space of time.

I love these boots , this is my second pair , the reason I had to get another pair was that somehow I mislaid one of the first pair , was so upset as I use them all the time as I have a dog & love walking especially mountain walking , so had to buy a new pair , they are so light and totally waterproof and very comfortable , even when you first wear them , would and do recommend to my friends 

The boots are so comfortable and well made.  Love them 

These boots are so good that I recommend them to everyone, plus the half sizes mean you can get a brilliant fit - light, soft, durable yet incredibly hardwearing and waterproof - they clean up beautifully time after time.  So good that I have just purchased my second pair and don't forget the amazing repair service Berghaus offer - my first pair that have walked  well more than a thousand miles during the years I have had them needed a resole and heel and just for the cost of posting to them, Berghaus have resoled, reheeled and sent back all within a fortnight.  I now have two pairs - brilliant for letting a pair dry out in the winter yet be able to keep hiking. The new pair I put on, walked 12 miles and then the next day 14 miles and it was just like wearing a glove. 

I bought these boots as they are lovely and light. I've always worn and recommended Berghaus. The products and aftercare service are usually second to none. Being so light these boots are Ideal for long hikes. However I'm on my 3rd replacement pair. The tend to crack between the sole and the leather and let water in. This time, Berghaus won't replace them and I continue to have a wet right foot! I will not be buying again. If you love long walks and want something to last, don't get these or you will have wet feet!
