Not sure what happened but I used to love these shoes must have had at least 4 pairs. However my last pair I ordered a size 6 as usually and now they are to big! So I returned and ordered a 5.5... they feel completely different. Normally I put them on and they fit like a glove.. not anymore. I put them on and have a blister after my first walk. They feel narrow and tight at the back. I think it might be time to find myself a different walking shoe after many years of having these.

Great boots, have had a similar style for years, but what's happened? They are much tighter around the heel/ankle and no loosening of the laces will help. Am going to have to stop wearing as damaging my ankle. Are all your boots coming up smaller?

Not as light as I imagined. Laces keep undoing.

I bought these boots under Berghaus Repair and renew repairs policy; Repairhaus, replacing a v. old pair of boots (15yrs! ), the soles of which had come away. I was so delighted to find this  policy ! Well done Berghaus for re-manufacturing old outerwear and footwear! Well done for parcelling with only 4 small self adhesive discs and otherwise no plastic! Having worn fabric boots for years I wasn't sure how comfortable leather boots would be. After walking round the house for half a day I decided they were worth a try out, that was 3 walks and about 7 miles ago. Now they feel like gloves. Surprisingly light , they weigh less than my previous fabric boots by another manufacturer. Fantastic! Top Marks! If they last only half as long as the last pair they will have been a bargain!
