Durable and waterproof boots
5Both me and my partner hiked the Te Araroa in New Zealand with these, getting through two pairs each, about 1,400km on each pair. I could have got an extra few hundred kilometres out of them, they're super durable, offer good protection against bumps, stubbed toes, and scree. I had about three blisters on the whole trip, but it was due to bad socks and constantly wet feet! Super grippy sole that lasts well. The leather aged as expected but held up well despite the abuse, mud, scree, sharp rocks, you name it. We would reproof it every week or so but they stayed very waterproof,. surviving regular immersion in mud and streams. If submerged they would generally dry out overnight when it was warm Takes a little getting used to if you've worn softer boots, but they're well worth getting used to. True to size too.

Sturdy, but lightweight
4Big fan of Berghaus boots, on my 3rd pair. Opted for the black ones this time. Good for walking in, lightweight and appear to be well made. Not sure if 100% waterproof but time will tell. A good broad fit, as I have hobbit feet.

Comfy and Robust
5This review is for boots I have, so far, only walked eight miles or so in. I wore these boots for the first time with the worry it would take ages to break them in and I would be walking funny from scrapes and pains. But no, from the first walk it has been like wearing comfy slippers. Amazingly comfy. They seem to grip well too. They have been fully waterproof so far.Â

Hillwalker GTX
5Fantastic walking boots that are very comfortable from the moment you put them on your feet. They are sturdy and supportive around the ankle and the grip is very reassuring when you are hiking  up the steepest of inclines. Altogether a most highly recommended  boot.

Best boots I've owned.
5I bought these about 3 months ago as a pair of boots to walk the 3 miles and back to work on days when weather was rotten. I've worn them on average 2/ 3 times a week since then and I gotta say I'm impressed. The comfiest boots I own and took everything storms Agnet, Babet and Ciarà n could throw at them. Even when I was soaked through, my feet were warm and dry

Comfort
5These are my second pair. I still wear my first pair regularly after nearly 10 yrs. These boots are like wearing slippers from the beginning. No need to break in. Without a doubt the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. If my new boots serve me as well as my old one's I'll be very happy.
