With the bib and braces you donÂ’t feel you are being cut in half when you move. Really comfortable to wear..

I am so glad I bough...
I am so glad I bought these trousers - they have been a brilliant hardshell / sallopette for winter walking in NE Scotland. Excellent fit and very robust shell (they feel almost bullet-proof) - they've had a hard life so far with working with crampons and spikes and remain looking as new. Would recommend (even more so when in sale).. Slightly baggy fit - Could be a little neater on the leg even with insulation underneath. While joints are cut well, some stretch would be fantastic.

I bought them for £9...
I bought them for £90 on sale, a huge saving on list price of £240. Excellent value and I rate it as a real steal. Braces adjust well and the full length zips are excellent. As hard shell over trousers for winter walking and skiing in the Scottish mountains it looks to be a solid bit of kit. Not on the RAB/ME scale of bombproofness but fine for my needs. To get a significant improvement you would need a spend a lot more, £350 plus.. No built in snow gaiter is my only criticism but I’d suggest paying attention to sizing. My sizing is - Height 5’10” Inside leg 31” Waist 30” Chest 38” Weight 10 st 10 lbs I got a size Small and so far have only tried them out in the house-COVID restrictions. The fit is fine but, while movement isn’t restricted, there can be slight tightness round the crotch sitting down when kitted up over walking trousers and thermals. If you have well developed thighs you might have to limit yourself to wearing only thermals underneath-or get a size Medium and put up with a longer leg length.

Simple design thatÂ’s comfortable and functional without all the faff of internal gaiters etc. Robust 3 layer material that feels substantial with felling restrictive.. Not much adjustment on the braces but IÂ’m been fairly picky with that so the only real bug-bear I have is the lack of any sort of adjustment at the ankle. These are really wide at the foot so some sort of volume adjustment would made all the difference. As it is I feel the need to wear a gaiter over the outside to tame the flare.
