No breaking in is needed. These boots are comfortable right from the first outing.
I do a lot of walking on paths and find these boots are quite flexible.
A nice looking boot which I can wear when doing walks around towns sightseeing.. For me the inner sole does not provide enough instep support so I change to one of my own, which is not a problem.
