3Not worn outside yet, so can't comment on that, but has the air of being sturdy and well made.. One factor in deciding to buy the boots was the deep brown colour in the photo. In fact they are two-tone and the main colour is much lighter. It will thus show every mark as well as being less attractive to me.

3Comfortable soles, lightweight, look pretty and laces do up nice and tight.. Ankle support is very rigid and hurt after a half a mile of walking.

4Light, breathable and good style. The length of the shoes is goid but I need to put thick inner sole otherwise there are to large for me. I guess it's quite normal with hiking shoes though.

5I have broad feet & these boots have a wide toe box which allows far more room for my toes than any other style of boot I've tried. They are very comfortable and I love them.. The boots reach quite high above the ankle which initially started to cause some chafing but after altering the way I lace the boots they are now absolutely fine.

5If youÂ’re looking for a solid pair of walking boots that wonÂ’t let you down when youÂ’re hiking out in the wet, British countryside, these might be the boots youÂ’re looking for. After wearing them in by taking a couple of long walks round my local park, I wore them for a five day round hike across the Brecon Beacons, covering 53 miles. This included a hike over Pen-y-fan where despite the pouring rain and fording a couple of streams, my feet remained completely dry! They are a really comfortable pair of boots, particularly round the ankles. The sole has sufficient grip, although theyÂ’re still a little slippery on wet stone, but IÂ’m yet to find a pair of boots that arenÂ’t. They also clean-up well and appear to be durable. In terms of sizing, IÂ’m a 6.5 or 7 in normal shoes, and I prefer shoes that give a bit more space around the toes. I bought the size 7 and found it was a good fit.. I canÂ’t think of any negatives.
