Comfortable, sturdy
5Comfortable, sturdy and lightweight, with good grip on a range of surfaces. I wore them out of the box for three weeks over peat bogs and rough terrain in Shetland with no issues. Performance every bit as good as boots twice the price. For really rough or boggy terrain youÂ’d want a bigger boot. TheyÂ’re perhaps not as stylish as some. But at the price point theyÂ’re hard to beat for performance on most surfaces.Web site worked well. Description was accurate and reviews were useful. Delivery was quick. Quality of materials and construction were excellent for the price.

1Remained waterproof. Look good.. Initially purchased a pair of Men's Fellmaster Ridge Gore-tex Boots. After 1 month, one of the lace hooks fell off. I contacted customer services and sent them back and they agreed that they were faulty. They didn't have a replacement to send me so I had to choose a different boot, the Men's Expeditor Ridge 2.0 Boots. These seemed fine at first but after a couple of walks the right hand boot became painfully tight at the front. Then, after 2 months the insole of the left boot became completely detached. Rather disappointing considering they were ÂŁ110.

4Comfortable straight out of the box. Lightweight. Decent looks.. The boots leak! Along the seam, just below the eyelets, outside sides only. Too much stitching really. The laces are thin and unlikely to last long. The red covering on the commando-type grips is already coming off, which doesn't bode well for the longevity of the grips. The grips are not that good on wet mud. The boots are fine for the SE of England, but unsure they'd be effective on a mountainous bogscape.
